We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location of the hostel, surrounded by a fair garden and horses. the friendly owner provided us with useful information about the area and offered delicious black tea whenever we wanted. the nearby Lover's Waterfall was easily accessible, and the affordable local bus made exploring the city center convenient.
The hostel's facilities and cleanliness left much to be desired, with undifferentiated and old rooms, broken toilet doors, and uncleaned bed sheets with hair.

The staff at this hostel were very kind and eager to help. They welcomed me with a cup of tea upon arrival, which was a nice touch. the rooms were decent for the price and the bathrooms were fairly clean. the location was convenient for bus transport, as there were many options nearby. One of the best aspects was the affordable price, making it a good option for budget travelers like myself.
There were some aspects of this hostel that I didn't particularly like. When it was cold and raining, there wasn't much space for people to gather or eat breakfast, as there was only one chair at the table.

I recently stayed at Fairy Hostel for two days and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and cool. They provided impeccable service, with rooms being serviced daily. I also loved the nice garden area where I could relax and chat. The complimentary tea, breakfast, and filtered water were a nice touch. The host, Rayen, was super-nice and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. He gave me excellent tips on local attractions and even took me to a tea shop. The breakfast was amazing, with an abundance of fresh fruits, and the view from the garden was breathtaking. Additionally, the availability of bike rentals and the option to organize a trip to Horton's Plain were added bonuses. I highly recommend staying at Fairy Hostel and can't wait to return.
I would recommend this hotel.

The hostel offered a stunning view from outside, providing a pleasant backdrop for relaxation. Not only was the property owner a very nice man, but he also made the effort to offer hot tea upon arrival, providing a warm welcome to the otherwise cold and wet weather.-The location was convenient, with easy access to local shops and eateries.
The hostel had a poor wifi connection, making it difficult to stay connected. The incomplete wall to the other room resulted in an issue with noise, as sounds from the neighboring room could be heard quite easily.

The host at this charming guest house is absolutely incredible! He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The warm and friendly welcome, along with the detailed history of the town and local attractions, made our stay even more enjoyable. He even helped us plan our trip to Worlds End, ensuring we didn't miss any highlights. In the evening, he cooked us a delicious dinner and entertained us with his guitar and singing talent. The garden was the perfect spot to relax with a cold beer. As vegetarians, we were delighted to find that the owner offered a tasty vegetarian curry for just 200LKR per person. The beautiful garden provided a lovely setting for meals and conversations. And let's not forget the warm blankets in the room, ensuring a cozy night's sleep. the owner's friendliness, helpfulness, and honesty made our stay unforgettable.

Incredible free breakfast, super social atmosphere, clean and comfy beds, massive bathroom. The owners go above and beyond, driving us into town and getting firewood for marshmallow roasting. Unlimited tea and coffee, and they gave us a great rundown of the town. Ended up extending my stay cause I loved it so much! Amazing city and mountain views from the beautiful wooden house, with lovely gardens and sun-filled sitting area. The owners are the best, so friendly and caring. Best hostel in Sri Lanka, hands down. Really close to Pedro Tea Factory and waterfalls. Nice staff and flexible breakfast times. They even gave us free bikes! The owner arranged a tour of Horton Plains and made us a breakfast to take with us. Great place to meet fellow travelers and close to restaurants. Perfect for an adventurous stay.

The location of the hostel was great, close to attractions like the tea factory and waterfall. We were able to easily explore the town and the beautiful surroundings. the host was extremely friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to ensure our comfort and provided us with valuable tips and information. He even played the guitar and sang with us one night, which was a really fun experience!
The bathroom was not very clean and there were bugs in the room at night. It also gets extremely cold at night, and the provided blankets were not enough to keep us warm.
